About this review desk

Who runs UKNexa?

UKNexa is an independent editorial desk established in 2026 and based in London. We are a review desk, not an operator. We do not accept deposits, we do not hold customer funds, and nothing can be wagered on this website. Full details are on our About page.

How do you make money?

Some outbound links to the brands we review are commercial affiliate links. If you follow one, register an account and meet the partner's qualifying conditions, we may receive a commission from that operator. You never pay more, and no commission arrangement changes a score, a ranking or a written verdict. This is set out in full on our Disclosure page, and every commercial link on the website carries a visible marker.

How do you score a brand?

Every brand is assessed across six weighted criteria: licensing and transparency, withdrawal speed, catalogue depth, customer support, safer-gambling tooling and mobile experience. Each criterion is scored out of ten from evidence our reviewers gathered directly — real registrations, real deposits, real withdrawal requests and timed support contacts. The overall figure is the weighted result, not an editor's impression.

How often are reviews updated?

Licence status is re-checked against the UK Gambling Commission public register on a rolling 90-day cycle. Withdrawal timings and support response figures are re-tested each quarter. Every review page shows the date it was last reviewed, and if a licence status changes we flag it at the top of the page before anything else is updated.

Can I suggest a brand or correct something?

Yes. Corrections are welcome and we act on them. Use the contact form, or email editorial@uknexa.co.uk with the page URL and what you believe is wrong. We aim to respond within two working days and we publish a note on the page when a factual correction is made.

Licensing and legality

What does a UK Gambling Commission licence actually mean?

It means the operator is legally permitted to offer remote gambling to customers in Great Britain and is bound by the Commission's licence conditions and codes of practice. In practice that requires segregated customer funds, mandatory age and identity verification before deposit, participation in the GamStop national self-exclusion scheme, and access to independent alternative dispute resolution if a complaint cannot be settled directly.

How do I check a licence myself?

Search the operator on the Commission's public register at gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-register. Each review page on this website links directly to the relevant register entry and states the account number. We deliberately link to the register instead of displaying a licence badge image, because a badge can be copied onto any website and a register entry cannot.

Both brands you cover show the same register entry. Why?

Operators frequently run several consumer-facing brands under a single licensed account, with the associated domains listed on the same register entry. That is normal and permitted. We publish the account number and the register link exactly as they appear so you can see the relationship for yourself rather than having it obscured.

What is the minimum legal age?

You must be 18 or over to gamble in the United Kingdom. Every operator holding a Great Britain licence is required to verify age before accepting a deposit. This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over only.

Why do operators ask for identity documents?

Age and identity verification before deposit is a licence condition, not an operator invention. Most checks clear electronically in seconds. Where they cannot, the operator will request photo identification and a proof of address. Submitting these promptly at registration — rather than at your first withdrawal — is the single most effective way to avoid a delayed payout.

Why is my withdrawal slower than my deposit was?

Deposits authorise instantly; withdrawals settle through the banking network and may also pass a compliance check. E-wallet returns are typically same-day, debit card returns typically one to five working days. Withdrawals must be returned to a payment method held in your own name. If a payout materially exceeds the operator's published window, raise a formal complaint in writing.

What if I have a complaint an operator will not resolve?

Exhaust the operator's own complaints procedure first and keep everything in writing. If it remains unresolved after eight weeks, or you receive a deadlock letter, you can escalate free of charge to the independent alternative dispute resolution provider named in that operator's terms. The Gambling Commission does not adjudicate individual disputes but does want to hear about operator conduct.

Do bonus offers change what you recommend?

No. A promotion is a marketing instrument with conditions attached, and we treat it as one. Wagering requirements, contribution rates, maximum conversion caps and expiry windows all sit between a headline figure and any money you could actually withdraw. We read those terms and report them; we do not rank a brand higher for advertising a larger number.

Staying in control

What is GamStop and should I use it?

GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. Registering once blocks your access across every operator holding a GB remote licence, for a period of six months, one year or five years that you choose. It cannot be reversed early. If you feel your gambling is no longer a choice you are making freely, it is the most effective single step available. Register at gamstop.co.uk.

Where can I get free, confidential help?

BeGambleAware offers free advice and treatment referral on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours a day. Gamblers Anonymous runs peer-support meetings across the UK. GamCare, the NHS regional gambling clinics and the debt charity StepChange can all help without charge. Our Responsible Gaming page lists these in full with direct links.

What limits should I set before I start?

Decide a deposit limit and a session time limit before your first deposit, and set them in the operator's account tools rather than holding them in your head. Treat the amount as the cost of entertainment you have already accepted losing. Never deposit borrowed money, and never increase a stake to recover a loss — that pattern is the most reliable early warning sign there is.

Question not answered here?

Email editorial@uknexa.co.uk or use the contact form. We reply within 2 working days during Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:30 (UK time). We cannot help with an individual account dispute — we have no access to any operator's systems — but we can point you at the right escalation route.
